Why Taylor Swift is pop music's baddest bitch ... like ever ...

Updated: Oct 3, 2018

Reputation.

I'm done

bye Kanye . sorry not sorry

WARNING: BELOW IS POSSIBLY THE MOST BIAS ARTICLE EVER WRITTEN ... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Taylor Swift has always had stick from the mainstream media. It's her curse. The bigger she gets and the more daring her music becomes, the more she has a target on her head.

Swift explains it perfectly before a 2016 Grammy Performance.

'So I want to start with a song that I wrote, actually as kind of a response to ... in the last couple of years the media have had a really, wonderful fixation on, kind of painting me as the psycho serial dater girl. It's been awesome. I've loved it. And you know, it got pretty out of control for a couple of years, and like every article would be like, Taylor Swift standing near some guy ... watch out guy. Every single article ... had these descriptions of my personality, that were very different from the actual personality. And my first reaction was like that's a bummer. This isn't fun for me.

But then my second reaction ended up being like, Hey that's a really interesting character they're writing about. Like she jet sets around the world, collecting men and she can get any of them, but she's so clingy and they leave, and she cries and then gets another one in her web and traps them and locks them in her mansion and then is crying in her marble bathtub surrounded by pearls ...

Yeah I could use this.

The media and press calling her out for dating 'too many people' and breaking all their hearts at once. Urrrgghhhhh By doing this they not only highlighted the ridiculous double standard served to women in music, but helpfully provided writing topics for The Queens' new album Reputation.

By doing this they not only highlighted the ridiculous double standard served to women in music, but helpfully provided writing topics for The Queens' new album Reputation.

The Whole Kanye Thing:

Sub not: From this point forward, Miss Swift shall be referred to as The queen.

Let's summarise.

2009: The Queen wins MTV VMA Video of the Year Award for You Belong With Me. Kanye West interrupts her acceptance speech, grabbing the mic from her to explain that "Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time" for Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It). The Queen is pretty much speechless.

2009: West refuses to apologise. 'We roll our eyes'.

2010: Kanye (finally) apologises via twitter saying he's sorry and as well as blaming the media and managers for the incident claims to have a written a song for her.

Bitch please..

2010: The Queen also release a song. This song is called Innocent.

2010: Kanye later that year takes back his apology and claims The Queen used the incident to gain even more fame and never defended him in any interviews. ( I mean, why the fuck would she?) 'She rode the wave and rode it and rode it' (Kanye, 2010)

2013: When asked in an interview with The New York Times about the infamous incident, Kanye says 'I don't have one regret.'

2015: The situation seems to have diffused when The Queen presents Kanye with an award at the MTV VMAs, and calls him 'a friend.'

2016: Shit hits the fan. Kayne releases his song Famous with the lyric 'I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b---- famous".

West claims to have asked The Queen for permission to use the line.

The Queen denies knowing about the second half of the lyric.

2016: The Queen is her Grammy acceptance speech states 'There are going to be people along the way who are going to try to undercut your success'. Dig Dig Dig.

2016: Kim Kardashian (a queen "of trash", but a queen in her own right") does an interview with GQ magazine claiming that Taylor Swift knew about the lyric all along and was trying to frame her husband. (Because he had such clean record before.)

2016: Kardashian releases footage of West speaking to The Queen on the phone about the creation of Famous.

Swift responds in twitter saying how she had been set up and was never told about the 'I made that bitch famous' lyric.

2017: The Queen clears her instagram and uploads pictures of a snake. She then releases Look What You Made Me Do.' The first single from the phenomenal album Reputation.

Do I think we'll ever know what really happened and who was actually in the wrong. No, but I'll say this. Why record the conversation at all if you didn't think you were gonna need to defend yourself against something??? Food for thoughts.

Sub note: The Queen will be referred to as BBE (Baddest Bitch Ever) from this point onwards.

Either way, we all know instead of letting the decade long fight affect her, the BBE turned around and called the media and Kanye out. It doesn't take a genius to work out who performed on a 'tilted stage' honeys.

Reputation is the middle finger every BBE fan has been waiting for for years now. This masterpiece of an album is full of anthems, highlighting themes of 'Crime and Punishment' (Swift, 2017), and (surprise surprise) Reputations.

She's had a lot of shit thrown at her over the years, but you know the BBE did?

She turned it into fucking art.

And that's why she's pop music's BADDEST BITCH EVER ... LIKE EVER ...

BYE KANYE ...
